Project Overview

Outstanding Undergraduate Innovation Training Program Project of Southeast University (16022032)

This project develops an interactive interface based on the motion recognition module of Kinect for Windows 2.0. Implemented using C# language on the WPF framework, the software displays as a floating window on the Windows desktop, aiming to replace traditional icon-based desktop interaction. The interaction control is achieved through recognition of six different gestures formed by user's hand combinations and motion states. The system integrates multiple practical functions including file browsing, music playback, and network dialing.

To evaluate the practicality and aesthetics of the interactive interface, the project team conducted subjective evaluation measurements in seven dimensions with 20 testers, and quantitatively analyzed aesthetic factors such as balance, central coordination, symmetry, and dominance through aesthetic calculation methods.
